We were lucky and saw the gorillas out and about. Sometimes the are sleeping in a corner where you can't even see them. If you ask Lily what her favorite animals and the zoo are, she'll say "Monkeys and Gorillas!".
Along with the lions outside, we saw a few big cats from the inside. It's so weird to see a huge lion so close to Lily just on the other side of the glass!
Since Lily loves to run, this was the view I had much of the day:) I'm a little slow these days! Thanks Grandma/Mom for a wonderful trip to the zoo!
One of the highlights of the day was when we saw the baby orangutan swinging around on the ropes. It was so little that it didn't look like it should be able to do that. I love the hair though!
I was really trying to enjoy this outing with my little girl since it will be probably the last before the baby comes. I just hope my heart can expand enough to love both my girls as much as I love my Lily!
I think this is the last belly shot I'm going to post. I'm just shy of 39 weeks in this picture so I don't think I can get much bigger. Actually, most people think I'm small for how far along I am. I think it's because she is just SO LOW! With Lily I was still going for walks and feeling pretty comfortable. With this one, I feel like she's going to fall out! As far as an update, it was a rough week last week since I pulled a muscle in my back on Monday and then my hands started to really swell and become numb mid-week. It was enough for me to call my OB and she had me get my blood pressure checked on Friday for fear of preeclampsia. Sure enough it was high enough to send me to the Maternal Assessment Center at the hospital that evening. Thankfully, everything looked fine (baby and lab results) so I was home later than night. My blood pressure was better on Monday ,although I think my hands are just going to be swollen and numb until I have the baby. Oh well. I certainly could be dealing with much worse things than that!
