Lily is slowly adjusting to being a big sister. She didn't show much interest in holding Audrey until Auntie Nicole sent her a book about being a big sister. Now, she likes to "hold her". One big difference in Lily, besides the occasional behavioral issue, is her language. She has had another language explosion! She is saying words I've never heard her say before and longer and longer sentences. How fun!

Audrey likes the swing for daytime naps.

We took Audrey in for a weight check on Thursday. We are taking her to Dave's clinic so she was greeted by many people anxious to meet her and Lily! We were a little concerned that she was not gaining weight since she was only nursing 5-10 minutes total each time. Our worries quickly vanished when the scale showed 7 lbs 4 oz! The hope is that newborns gain enough weight to reach their birth weight again by the time they are 2 weeks old. Audrey surpassed her birth weight in 5 days! Good girl!

Dave's Aunts and Mom got Audrey this very cool doll house for her baby gift. Lily will break it in for her until she's old enough to play with it:) Honestly, it was like Christmas morning when we opened it!
Precious things:
- Lily moved Audrey to the beginning of her prayers with Mommy and Daddy as soon as we brought her home (without me telling her).
- When Lily stares at her sister and says "Smile!".
- They way Audrey stretches when she wakes up or is done nursing. She arches her back, cinches up her legs and raises her eyebrows without opening her eyes. It's the same thing that Lily did when she was a baby...I love it!

I LOVE the photo of Lily holding Audrey! I'm also excited to finally see some pictures of Audrey's hair. She is so tiny and cute. To me, she looks like Lily but not exactly...maybe more like Angie but that's my bias.
Love,
Auntie Nicole
I forgot to add that I remember thinking Lily had really big hands and so does Audrey.
