Meeting "Mali Dog"

Last weekend, we went to visit Nana and Papa and their new puppy, Mali. What an adorable little dog! Lily and Mali got along great from the beginning. It was funny because Lily kept saying "Nice". I'm not sure if she was telling Mali to be nice or reminding herself to be gentle and nice to the puppy. Either way, it was pretty cute.

Nana and her girls.

Lily and Mali hiking up the hill. They had lots of fun running around together outside and riding in Lily's wagon.

This is Lily's version of a hug. It was probably preferable to Mali:)

Although we were all a little concerned that Lily would be a little too obsessive about Mali or vice versa, they were great together. Here Lily is giving her a kiss. Of course it was key that Mali was sleepy at the time and not in "play mode". Lily never got bitten or nipped and Mali never got too sick of Lily. What a great pair!

Mali decided to help Lily with her puzzle.

This picture doesn't have anything to do with the puppy, but it's just a cute picture of Lily and Dave relaxing in the chair at Nana and Papa's house. We had a great visit and Lily is still talking about Mali. She calls her "Mali-Dog" (which sounds more like "Mawi-Dog"). In fact, she has added her to her bedtime prayers, right after Nana and Papa. How sweet:)

Does anyone else think Lily looks a little like her Nana in the photo of them with Mali? I think it's the big beautiful eyes.

I never thought that Lily and her nana looked alike, but they do have similar features especially in that picture. Hope all is well with you guys! Thanks for the pics of Mali and Lily!
