Happy May Day

Lily wanted to pass along Spring cheer with her flower hat!

First Cupid...now a flower! Thanks for the new "do" Gramma G!

I bought this outfit a long time ago...before I knew she would be outgrowing her clothes so quickly. Thankfully it hit 80 degrees this past weekend so she got to try it out:)

Lily is practicing her over-the-shoulder pose for any red-carpet events in her future:)

Lily's hair is getting so long on the top that I tried to do a ponytail again. This time it turned out a little better! I can't tell if it looks cute, or just silly...I guess cute, since it's on her:)

Lily looks so grown up in this picture! I've been really reminiscing lately about when she was a newborn since we know so many people who just had babies or who are pregnant. I remember when Lily was first born; she was so precious and fragile. We had to support her head when we held her and she had no interest at holding or grabbing anything. Now, I just slap her on my hip and have to look out for anything she could get her hands on withing a two foot radius! I have to say though...I prefer the now. I find myself always thinking about what she might do next, or when she's older...we can do this together. I'm excited for her to grow up while trying to appreciate the present. Sometimes, that is a hard balance.

Lily is still not crawling yet, although her pediatrician was not the least bit concerned since it's not a developmental milestone. However, I would like her to learn just so she can get around. She spends a lot of the day trying (and whining because she can't). I try to entice her with toys and snacks or even pick up her hips to support her as she moves. She'll just have to get it on her own. One exciting thing, it that she actually stood unsupported for a couple of seconds the other day. She has a ways to go, but it's a start! It was so weird seeing her just standing there!
