Splish Splash I was Taking a Bath

This is Lily taking her last bath in the kitchen. She discovered how fun it is to splash her hands and feet in the water, which is creating quite a mess on the counter and cabinets. So, it's time to graduate to the big girl bath!

On the left, Lily is about 12 days old and on the right she is 6 months old!!! My how time flies. Notice how her whole body fit inside the green part of the bouncy chair and now her toes are hanging off and she pretty much bottoms it out. I can't believe she is already 6 months old.

Other updates...no sign of a new tooth yet. I'm convinced one is coming though since she is drooling like crazy and I swear she is going to chew her fingers to nubs (and anything else she can get her hands on). Lily has recently added bananas and pears to her food rotation. She didn't like either at first, which surprised me. I thought the sweet fruits would be a hit. Eventually she came around though. Unfortunately she has decided against peas. We've tried several times and ever since we moved onto other foods, she hasn't gone back. I'm not complaining, since I know we are lucky that she's eaten everything else we've thrown at her. Today we will try prunes:)

Lily is so interested in everything. She is constantly observing and learning every second. This makes it a little tougher to nurse her because she gets so distracted. Also, if you pick anything up while you are holding her, she will grab it. Especially paper! If we have her on our laps while we are on the computer, she will hit at the keys too. However, this means that she is getting better at her piano playing:)

Lily has LOVED that her dad has been home all week on vacation (so has her mom!). She loves playing with her dad so much that she's been having trouble taking long enough naps! It's like she thinks she is missing out on something if she sleeps. We certainly treasure these times given Dave's busy residency schedule.
