A Mother's Plea

I realized something recently as I was shopping for some new clothes for Lily...there are no clothes for a big baby. I should specify...a long baby. I've been stuffing Lily into 6 month-sized clothing for a few months longer than I should have. So, I decided to skip the 9 month-sized clothes and go directly to 12 month. I figured then they will for sure be long enough so her "little" legs won't get cold. Also, I am hoping she can wear them longer than a month without looking ridiculous. However, when I went to Target and Babies R Us, I found that most infant clothing only goes up to 9 months! Granted there are a few exceptions, but for the most part this is true. Now, I know there are plenty of 12 month-sized clothes out there, like cute little jeans and tops. However, my Lily is only 6 months old and sometimes I like dressing her in cozy jumpers and sleepers. I struggled to find even a pack of long-sleeved onesies for her and sleepers another story. I will be trying a few other stores when I get the chance (JCPennys etc.), but my plea is to the infant clothing companies...could you add one more size??? For all other mothers out there with a 90th percentile baby...I sympathize with you.

Then I ask myself, is this problem also due to my inability to accept that my little girl is growing up so fast? Am I trying to hold on to the idea that I still have a new baby? That could be part of it:)

Hi Lily, David and Angie,
It seems Lily is changing by the minute! We're not surprised she likes her bath - we have lots of good memories of fun bathtimes with her daddy. We're thinking about you all down here in sunny St. Martin, and miss you all lots! Looking forward to seeing you as soon as possible when we get home!
Thanks for the great photos and updates.
Hugs and kisses,
Grandma and Grandpa Q
