Audrey loves to carry toys (and other things) around in her mouth as she crawls around. She even carries things in her hands as she crawls which somethings leads to some face plants on the floor.

Enter the age of the ponytail. Even after a third haircut, I've decided to start putting a ponytail in Audrey's hair to keep it out of her eyes. It makes her look so much older!

Audrey loves to put everything in her mouth still, including the toy baby bottles. This of course means watching her like a hawk around the house. We've made a big girl corner in the playroom for some of Lily's non-baby friendly toys so I at least have a few seconds to grab her before she puts them in her mouth.

Audrey continues to pull herself up on everyone and everything. She is a super fast crawler, a fantastic cruiser and is very close to taking off and walking. She has taken some pretty steady unassisted steps toward us and walks behind push toys with no problem. Pretty soon she'll be off and running.

Audrey takes a shorter nap than Lily in the afternoon so while big sister is asleep...Audrey gets to play with all of the toys that Lily would probably not want to share:)

Audrey still has just the 8 teeth. I have thought many times that she was teething and her molars were coming in when she would be extra crabby and not eat or nurse well. However, so far there is nothing new poking through. Even without molars she has tried more and more big-kid food. She really likes green beans, peas, carrots, grapes, yogurt, and turkey/roast beef lunch meat. She thinks cheese is ok, but hates canned peaches and pears. We'll work on it:) Of course she still gets the most excited for Cheerios and snack puffs. I cut out one more nursing (now down to three). She did not/does not like missing the one before her morning nap, but it's helped her eat a better lunch and breakfest. I think it might be a little harder to wean Audrey than Lily, so I'll just have to go slow.

Getting into trouble...again. She likes to pull off this air vent which is a big no-no. She also likes to get into my cookbooks, open cupboards, chew on shoes (or anything), and the worst one is to climb up the stairs. We're going to have to figure out some sort of gate because she is so fast. The first time she attempted the stairs she climbed right to the top as if she'd been doing it forever (Dave was trailing her of course). Audrey definitely has no fear.

I gave Audrey her third haircut a couple of weeks ago. The only way I could keep her still was to stick her in the Bumbo chair. I used to nail scissors (so it has a blunt end) and even gave her some layers to help blend in her new hair and newborn hair.
Audrey has not been a huge babbler, but she has found a couple of sounds she really likes. The above video is of her "a-va" sound. She also started "clicking" her tongue which is pretty amusing. Still no "dada" and "mama", but she has tried out "Mmm".
Last few things...Audrey has starting waving. Sometimes it's pretty clear that she is doing it and others it just looks like she's flailing. Another thing I noticed is that she sort of helps me dress her by pushing her arms through her shirt sleeves. I guess when you've done it enough, she gets the routine down.
