Last weekend, I hit the big 3-0. Dave and I got a chance to get some alone time on the golf course and then celebrated with my parents. It was a wonderful day!

Lily did a great job helping to decorate my cake. I was amazed at her concentration and carefulness placing each sprinkle in just the right spot!

We took a quick trip to the Como Zoo last Saturday and had one of the best visits ever! The primate building was a hit since there was an adorable baby orangutan and the gorillas were up and climbing around. Since it was sunny (but not hot) the lions were out where we could see them. We are so lucky to have such a great zoo so close!

Lily in her ice cream outfit...licking "ice cream"!

I got this little bag for Lily when I was in San Francisco visiting my sister. She loves carrying it around like a purse, just like a big girl.

It is so hard to catch Lily looking at the camera, let alone smiling, so this is about as good as I can get these days.

I tried two ponytails the other day (although she was not thrilled).

I've been trying to catch Lily doing this for a long time. She loves to put this plastic bowl on her head so it squishes her nose. She'll even try to read book through the clouded plastic. My favorite part is when she says "honk" when it pushes on her nose.

Recently, I bought Lily her "big girl" bedding for when we transition her to a twin bed after we move. She stacked all of the pieces together and when Dave said it was for her bed she leaned over it and said "Nigh-nigh"!

Hi Sweet Lily, Angie, and David. Here I sit with Mark in my hospital room, eight hours into the first chemo drip, and I checked the Lily blog. What a treat to see my BEAUTIFUL family! It's the reason i can do what I have to do these next 5 months - my family. I love you all very much. Thank you for posting, Angie.
