This & That

"This" & "That" is what I hear all day long. Or should I say "Dis" and "Dat":) Lily is very curious (as most toddlers are) and has to know what everything is. She will keep repeating "Dis" until you say what it is.

Lily had never spun around like this, but I told her to do it the other day and here is the result. I think the music helped motivate her. It cracks me up! She certainly loves to dance and now she has a new move:) By the way, the Pampers box in the video that we were using as a blockade to the shelves is now gone since Lily climbed on top of it on Saturday! She has never climbed on anything before (besides the stairs). It might not be long before she scales the couch and more. We might be in for a few more bruises.

Lily turned 15 months old on Friday! Has it really been that long? Here she is modeling her new boots.

To escape the crummy weather, Lily and I met my mom at Como conservatory on Friday. It was so nice to get out and smell all of the beautiful flowers! Here we are in the sunken garden.

Lily got a kick out of the goldfish. In fact, she really wanted to join them in the pond. I had to hold on her extra tight so she wouldn't step right in the water!

Lily made several wishes in the wishing ponds, although it was hard to convince her to actually drop the pennies in. I wonder what she was wishing for...

Grandma G and Lily waving in the fern room. What a fun day!

Being top heavy is tough. A week or so ago, Lily and I went outside even though it was a bit wet. We walked until she came to a muddy puddle. She bent down and fell right on her face!! It was just so odd. Usually she falls when she's running to fast or something. This time...she just fell over. Poor Lily!

A couple of weeks ago, I took a quick trip to New York where I met up with Nicole. Lily had some quality time with Dad and Grandma and Grandpa Quale. It was a whirlwind of a weekend, but very fun. It's the first time Nicole and I have gotten some lengthy sister time since before Lily was born. It was also good for me because it showed me that Lily can do just fine with other people taking care of her. She's more flexible than I thought! (Above: Sisters on top of the Empire State Building)

Great moves, Lily! Soon you can join me in my rueda class (circle/group salsa dancing).

Lily, also thank you for letting your mom come to New York to play with me. We'll take you some day when you're bigger. I hope you liked your new doll from FAO Schwartz.

Love,
Auntie Nicole

p.s. I also love the boots.
