Pop Goes The...Tooth!??!?

I hope this makes you all smile as much as it makes me smile every time I watch it:) Pop goes the weasel is her favorite song right now (or maybe second to her all time fav, Wheel on the Bus). It all started when I got her a real "old fashioned" jack-n-the-box. She loved the song it played and liked it when I sang along. All of the sudden, she started adding in the "Pop" in the right place every time...even if I just whistle! I love it!

I'm thrilled that Lily has kept high spirits and continues to learn so much everyday since it has been quite a rough month. She's had a cold/cough for several weeks now, which is beginning to take a toll on her sleep (and ours). We actually have been doing nebulizer treatments at home to help her cough. Not only that, yesterday her nose started running...again! This must be her 2nd or even 3rd cold in a row! Poor Lily Pie! Tonight I decided to poke in her mouth a bit since she's also been drooling a TON. Sure enough, her bottom left 2nd (or "2 year") molar is mostly in and the bottom right is swollen. Wow, I'm glad I looked. I think I've posted about the whole teething/getting sick phenomenon before, but man is this proof enough for me. There must be something crazy that happens to dampen infant/toddlers immune systems leading to more colds during teething. This is quite a stretch of colds, but hopefully the molars are the culprit and nothing more chronic. For now, we'll just have to get through it by singing:)
