Above are some pictures from my last shower...a garden party thrown by my mom, Nicole, and Jenny. As I suspected it would be, it was a fabulous shower with a Martha Stewart flare. They really went all out. Thank you to them for throwing it and for everybody who joined in on the fun! We now are a lot more ready for our little girl to come. In fact, I would really rather she comes sooner rather than later. I'm beginning to grow weary of the whole pregnancy thing. I'm huge and it is so hot now! Things are progressing fine at my appointments, but unfortunately there is no way to really tell when I will go into labor. Everyone is different and just because a baby drops, doesn't mean she's coming any time soon.
I have my last day of work tomorrow which has sparked an array of emotions. I thought I would be so estatic for this day to come, but I find that I'm really sort of sad. I've been in the same lab for 6 years and it's going to be very weird to clear out my desk and say goodbye. I work with a great bunch of people and I really like the project I've been working on. I guess it's better to leave on a high note though. With the end of work in the lab begins my new job as a mom. I have a feeling I'm going to love this job. Now, I will wait, get eveything ready, and enjoy my last few nights of sleep. As everyone keeps saying...it could be any day now!
