I finally got the call that our furniture is in! This past weekend my parents helped me picked up the crib and dresser/diaper changer from Baby Depot. (Dad-to-be-Dave was busy saving lives at the hospital:)) Thankfully, my parents had the afternoon free to help build the crib. I was thrilled that there was not a scratch on it and we had all of the pieces. I've heard such horror stories of damaged cribs and missing hardware. That is why I ordered it early...just in case. Luckily, we won't have to deal with any of that! We actually had the crib put together in about 1 and 1/2 hours. I absolutely love it! It's exactly what I was hoping for. Sunday, I decided to tackle the dresser which was a whole other story. It had a TON of pieces and hardware! It was by far the most complicated piece of furniture I've ever built. I finally gave up part way through building it and bought an electric screwdriver because there was no way I could do it all by hand. All in all, it took me about 4-5 hours to build the dresser. Whew! Thankfully, again none of the pieces were damaged and nothing was missing. It looks great! I will add a picture of the dresser and crib all finished when I get the chance. It's finally starting to look like a nursery!
