We only had one weekend to go to the cabin this summer, believe it or not. So here it is... The weekend started a little rough with Dave slipping down the stairs to the lake (disturbing a wasp nest under the steps), dislocating his shoulder on the way down and getting stung by a wasp when he landed, all within the first 20 minutes of us arriving. Thankfully, he didn't have an allergic reaction and his shoudler was tolerable with ice and ibuprofen. Besides that, it was a great weekend and the girls had a blast in the water and on the lake.

It was so nice to have some extended time with Grandma and Grandpa!

With Dave sort of out of commission the first day and my dad still recovering from lyme disease, my mom and I took the girls down to the lake for some fun in the water. This is the first time Audrey has been in the water and not suprisingly, she loved it!

My mom and I had to take turns helping Audrey walk in the water. It's hard on the back!

Lily, of course, mostly prefered throwing rocks into the water. I hope she moves on to something else soon because that's all she wanted to do at Nana and Papa's house too.

More walking...or should I say running?

Splish splash!

Audrey sporting her new swimsuit.

It was hard to catch Lily in a picture, but we finally got them to sit together. It only lasted about 30 seconds!

It's hard to tell by this picture, but I was swinging Audrey through the water and she LOVED it!

Lily and Audrey had a ton of fun playing on the bed. It seems like more and more often I find them laughing together or making each other laugh. I hope that's the beginnings of a great sister friendship.

Audrey took her first boat ride on Ham Lake. She was not very happy given how uncomfortable her life jacket was and how hot it was.

Grandma and Lily crusing in the boat.

Lily is much braver than I am with fish. I couldn't believe she not only touched them, but held them too!

Caught another one!
Here is video I took from the first day. It's actually taken on my regular camera since I forgot the video camera. What a fun time at the cabin!
