Freedom!

This may not seem like a big deal to many of you, but this picture means a lot to me. It means freedom! Lily never took a bottle, so I was attached to her for 7-8 months before she could take a sippy cup. With Audrey taking a bottle, that means I can leave for more than a few hours! Huge. Dave gave her the first bottle on Saturday and she took it no problem and drank almost 4 oz. I gave her bottles on Sunday and Monday and she also took them with ease. Now I just have to keep it up so that she continues to take it.

I like this picture because Audrey looks so peaceful (and it's an adorable outfit from Grandma Williams!). We had newborn pictures taken today at a studio and she did fantastic! We got several pictures of her awake and happy as well as some sleeping. The challenge of the session was to try to get Lily to give her sister a kiss for the camera. Lily is a stubborn girl!

As a follow up to my last post, Audrey's sleeping has been hit or miss. I'm not entirely convinced that the swing and gas drops are really doing much. In fact, last night I put her back in the pack n' play and she was no more fussy than when sleeping in the swing. So, I think I'll move her back there for night. We've had some fairly good nights and some really bad nights so think it's just her being a 3 week old. Hopefully it will only get better. Until then, thank goodness for naps (and for husbands that let you sleep in on Sunday while he watches the girls!).

Congratulations! And look how much fun Dave can have feeding and bonding with Audrey. Keep up the good work Audrey, so your Mom and I can have some sister time of our own in two weeks!

I can't wait to see the newborn photos. Wow, Audrey really looks different from Lily. Of course, both super cute!

Wow! Audrey has sure changed a lot in just a week. She does look less like Lily and well, more like Audrey.

How very nice of her to be her own little person as we knew she would be.

Love and hugs,

Grandma Williams

Audrey looks like a long little peanut! Still can't wait to meet her! And I can definitely tell more differences now in the photos between your two beautiful girls!
