I tried to take some outdoor pictures this morning since it wasn't too sunny and I couldn't get Lily to sit still! She was crawling all over and when I put her next to the picnic table to hold on, she cruised to the end, let go, and started walking. We are in for an adventure now!
Lily has been standing in her crib for a while, but I thought I would take a picture of what I find when I get her up from her nap:)
Lily is still very into pointing at everything! She asks "Mom? Mom?" as she points as if asking "Mom, what's that?" You can just see the wheels turning. The last few days she has been pointing to my nose, mouth, and ears. So far I think she gets "Mom's nose" and "Lily's nose" since she sort of points to her nose when I ask her "where is Lily's nose?" Will have to keep working on that one:)
Lily Big GirlLily made a significant advance in her walking skills on Sunday morning when she began to walk short distances on her own. However, today we officially have a walker. She walked across the entire living room! Plus, now she is much more in control. Before she just took off like a crazy woman hoping we would catch her. Now, she can even pause mid-walk and not fall over. She is soooooo excited about walking. In fact, she often smiles and yells "Ahhhhh!" as she barrels towards you. Luckily we were able to capture this on video today and I will post them when I get the chance. It still seems surreal to see her walking around...like a big girl.
Lily is also babbling a lot more. Often it sounds as if she is saying real words, but it's mostly babble. The most repeated sounds besides Mom and Dad are "Ba Ba?". I'm still trying to figure out if she's trying to say something for real. She repeats is a lot. Is she asking if I'm leaving? (Bye Bye). Who knows. May she just likes the sounds.
Lastly, Lily has 15 teeth now with one more canine/cuspid to come in. Then, hopefully she will be done drooling for a while. Having that many teeth certainly makes eating easier...especially things like roast beef!
