Our Little Fish

Mom helping Lily navigate the rocks as she tries swimming for the first time at Ham Lake.

Dad helping Lily with her strokes and kicks. She had a blast! (and so did we...watching her!)

Although Lily loved being in the water, she was not so fond of being on top of the water. She took her first boat ride around Ham Lake. The life jacket might have been to blame for her lack of smiles:) She'll just have to get used to it!

Our little family up at the lake.

Lily got to spend lots of time with Grandpa and Grandma Williams up at the Lake!

A few weekends ago, (I'm a little behind posting), we ventured up the Williams cabin for the weekend. We all had a great time! Dave got to fish a lot, I got to relax, and Lily got to swim! Her only swimming experience to this point was the one time at the swimming pool by our house. While I thought she might be a little hesitant going into a big lake, she practically jumped in! I wish I would have had our video camera! We took turns helping her swim and I was amazed at the nature instinct she had to kick her little legs and do a sort of breaststroke with her arms. The best part is that she kept smiling and clapping the whole time. In fact, sometimes she was even trying to clap WHILE she was swimming. Silly Lily! This was definitely one of the treasured parent moments. Watching your child take such joy in something new is incredible. I guess we have a little fish on our hands...just like her dad!
