We decided, in to honor of tradition, to brave the MN State Fair with Lily this past Saturday. Lily took her first bus ride when we used the Park & Ride nearby. It was hard to tell if she enjoyed the Fair since she slept almost the whole time! The one time she woke up was right before we left when we were at the all- you-can-drink milk barn. Ironic, huh? She must have smelled dinner:) We weren't there long, but accomplished what we wanted to do and that is to eat our way through the Fair. Above we are in front of Sweet Martha's Cookies (a logical stop before the milk barn). We had a fun couple of hours at the Fair!
This is the recent dress I finished for Lily. It should hopefully fit her this Spring. It seems so huge now, but she's growing like crazy! This is my first attempt at embroidery on my knitting:)
These are the letters I painted before Lily was even born. It's just taken me a while to figure out how I wanted to mount them on the wall. I hung them today:)A few more things to note...Lily is officially smiling for real! I have a blast trying to make her smile and laugh. It just melts my heart every time. Also, Lily is finally starting to like her bouncy/vibrating chair! It's nice to have another place to set her down and it's a perfect place to show her toys and try to coax out some smiles:) Lastly, we had the best night on record last night. Lily ate at 10:30 and slept from about 11:00 to 5:45 am! Then, she ate again and slept until 8:45! It was a dream. The great thing is that I heard her making noises and stirring a couple of times during the night, but resisted going in to pick her up. She is able to fall back asleep all by herself which is a great milestone. I won't expect the same thing tonight, but I sure am hoping for it!

Hi Lily, Angie and David,
We are so happy to see your pictures and read all about what's happening. Glad to hear you were able to make it to the fair! Lily'll be eating those chocolate chip cookies before you know it! We can't wait to see her smile! We've missed you in Rome, Florence, Pisa, and now in the lakes country of northern Italy. Tomorrow we'll be thinking about you on our way to Venice.
We love you and miss you all very much!
