I'm getting close to being caught up...a few weeks ago we went with Grandma to the closest park and had a picnic and played on the playground. All of the sudden Lily said she saw a turtle. Sure enough it was a newly-hatched snapping turtle. Pretty soon we started seeing more and more of his/her brothers and sisters crawling slowly through the wood chip playground toward a pond. The pond was far away (for a turtle) and it was a warm day so...my mom (and Lily) did a turtle rescue to make sure they made it. They found the nest buried deep in the wood chips and helped about 25 baby turtles get to the pond. It was very cool!

Okay, this scares me a little bit. Lily has gotten so much braver on playground, which is good and bad. She used to be SO timid and careful that it was holding her back. Now, I just hope she doesn't get too careless. Regardless, she loves climbing all over the big kids playground and going down many of the very cool slides.
