Lily in her big girl bed...doesn't she look tiny?Last weekend we finally made the switch and Lily got her new big girl bed! Boy was she excited! I plopped her onto it and she sprawled out. She then pretended to sleep in her new bed (below). I slept horribly that first night, because I didn't know how she would sleep, but Lily did great and called out for me to get her in the morning. So far, I've been putting her in the bed like I did her crib so she actually doesn't know she technically could get out whenever she wants. We will wait for that for when potty training happens. Just in case, I put a baby gate across her door once it's closed for my own piece of mind. I personally have been angsting about moving Lily to a big bed for about a year. I was so fearful of her dropping her nap and worried about her having free reign of the house. She napped 2.5 hours that first day...whew! Thankfully, she was past her non-napping phase that lasted a couple of weeks when we switched the beds. Also, I'm so glad that Audrey finally has her crib! My back is also happy since it's easier to put her in the crib than the Pack N' Play. We set it at the highest level for now, until she's a little more mobile (which is quickly happening!).
Lily "sleeping" in her new bed. This is how she always sleeps...with her purple blanket in one corner, dog in the other, bear and pillow under her head, and of course her Tinkerbell blanket on top (hidden under the new quilt).

Yeah for Lily! So grown up.
Glad to hear that Lily & Audrey are adjusting well to their new beds. Now Mom just has to start sleeping better! ;)
