Lily turned 5 months old today! I can't believe it. Now, she really doesn't seem like a new baby anymore. I had to buy size three diapers and when I weighed her today she was about 17 lbs! Just in the last week or so, she has become very interested in faces. She loves to grab noses, ears, or whatever she can. Look out though, she doesn't know how to grab lightly:) Lily also started grabbing her spoon when I'm feeding her. It's like she wants to do it herself already. Her "help" with the spoon usually ends up in a more messy mealtime, but I think she enjoys it. She is fascinated by us eating and drinking. She'll just stare at us intently. Sometimes she grabs for my cup too. We have been somewhat successful with a new sippy cup called a Nuby cup. She took about an ounce on two occasions from it. Hopefully that will get better and better. She also has really start to mimic us. If I make a "la la la la" sounds, she starts to stick out her tongue and make the sounds too. She's really testing out her voice and today she said "Mom" clear as a bell twice. I'm sure she had no idea what she said, but it was still cool to hear her little voice say it:)
